Data-Informed Decision Making
Session one in a series of three Data Literacy workshops that were designed to empower staff members towards making timely and effective data-driven decisions. The 60-minute sessions were delivered to an org-wide audience at SEO who were – through the use of active learning strategies – provided with various opportunities to learn, discuss, and reflect on their work. Attendees identified key learnings from the training that they could apply to their positions by the end of each workshop. The sessions also included a sufficient amount of information that attendees could refer back to at a later time. The first session focused on the basics of data and analytics as well as how organizations, including SEO, use data to solve problems. Attendees were introduced to a framework for conducting Data Analysis along with the tools and techniques that are commonly used.
